Large Format Scanning
What is Large Format Scanning? Large format scanning is where we take a large format document and convert the physical document into a digital one, usually in the form of a high quality PDF, TIFF or JPEG file.
Convert oversized documents to digital files. Large format documents such as blue prints or engineering drawings consist of any documents 12″ x 18″ and larger.
Something that has been enlarged, especially a photographic reproduction or a copy larger than the original print or negative.
How do you know if a photo can be enlarged? A typical 2 megapixel digital picture (1200×1600 pixels and about half a megabyte of jpg file size) can be printed up to 18×27″. Higher megapixel digital pictures can go quite a bit larger in size, the rule of thumb is we like to see them at least 72 dpi in the actual size.
